I build software for a living. Real products people pay for, not prototypes.

In my day job I lead engineering at Fero.AI, an AI company in the UAE. My team and I build a big platform that a major regional customer uses to run its freight and customs operations. 110+ tables, 211+ APIs, five codebases, live on the customer's own servers. Five engineers report to me. I own what the platform does, how long it takes, how much it costs, and the conversations with the customer when any of that goes sideways.

On the side, I run an online electronics store for the European market. Storefront, warehouses, payments, loyalty, admin, the works. Around seventy features live in production, all built from scratch.

A few times a year I take on a project for a founder who needs a senior engineer to build something real. AI features, web apps, online stores. Not a landing page. Not a prototype. The thing that runs your business.

How I write code

For the engineers and hiring managers reading this: the shorthand version of how I build.

Simple beats scalable until you have evidence otherwise. Monolith first; split a service only when a measured workload requires it. REST with Zod over GraphQL. Postgres is underrated and most teams underuse it. Strict TypeScript everywhere; no any. Files under 300 lines. One thing per file.

I ship product. I don't ship process.

  1. Fero.AI

    AVP, Ports Vertical

    2023 to present

    • Lead engineer on a large platform a major regional customer uses to run its freight and customs operations. 110+ tables, 211+ APIs across five codebases including Rust services, live on the customer's own servers.
    • Head of the technical roadmap across a portfolio of enterprise projects in logistics, ports, and document automation.
    • Five direct reports across engineering and analysis. I decide what done looks like. The team decides how to get there.
    • I own how long each project takes, what it costs, how it gets demo'd, and the conversations with the customer when things move. Report to the VP and CEO.

  2. Independent

    Engineer and operator

    2024 to present

    • Run an online electronics store for the European market from end to end.
    • Around seventy features live in production: loyalty, gift cards, referrals, A/B testing, abandoned cart flows, automated emails, multi-language and multi-currency checkout.
    • Storefront on Next.js. Backend on Medusa with eleven custom modules. Stripe for payments, Meilisearch for search, Postgres for data.
    • Also take on a handful of client projects a year: AI features, web apps, and online stores for founders who need real software built.
